[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]A member of Torres Plaz & Araujo since 1988, Guillermo is currently President and Managing Partner at the Firm, a member of the Board of Directors and head of the business-corporate consultancy practice at the Firm. Before forming part of TPA, he worked at Chadbourne, Parke, Whiteside & Wolf (currently Chadbourne & Parke LLC) in its New York offices as a Foreign Associate (1983-1984).<\/p>\n

His professional practice extends to both advising business clientele and individuals in their day-to-day affairs. He has been very active in national and international negotiations of mergers, acquisitions, project finance; public and private issues; consortia, joint ventures and other forms of associations; negotiations of contracts with government institutions and other State-owned entities, including real estate developments; structuring and placement of investments for domestic and foreign investors; protection of assets and investments; interpretation and application of bilateral and multilateral investment treaties.<\/p>\n

His practice also extends to advising on state and municipal tax matters and estate planning.
